In support of Junior Achievement of the Mad River Region, Wallace & Turner is serving as a sponsor of the 2023 7-Eleven Bowl-A-Thon – Tropical Heatwave fundraiser which is being held through March 10th. Teams of five bowl two games, enjoy snacks and have a chance to win prizes based on money raised. Additional prizes can be won for Best Team Costumes and Most Spirited Team.

Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. The inspiration piece comes from community volunteers who not only deliver the organization’s lessons, but share their experience. In the process, these volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves Junior Achievement’s proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.

Slice of Springfield is back in 2023 and Wallace & Turner is a Premier Sponsor of this tasty event! Join Partners for the Parks on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Mother Stewart's Brewery to vote for the best pizza in town! Sample pizza from up to ten area pizza shops, then vote for your favorite. Attendees will also enjoy live entertainment.

The Slice of Springfield fundraiser will donate 100% of ticket proceeds to help support parks and recreation programming of the National Trail Parks & Recreation District. Tickets purchased prior to January 20th receive a free drink (soft drink, beer, cider or wine).

Wallace & Turner Participates in CultureFest 2022

The Wallace & Turner Life & Health team had a booth at CultureFest 2022 held on September 17th in downtown Springfield. The annual event is a celebration and collaborative effort between the City of Springfield Community Development Department with neighborhood and organizational partners committed to growing unity through diversity. CultureFest offered dance and music entertainment, children’s activities, a food court featuring international and American cuisine and merchandise and information vendors. CultureFest is supported through donations from individuals and organizations.

Wallace & Turner Sponsors Clark County Fair 2022

Wallace & Turner is once again serving as a sponsor of the Clark County Fair being held July 22-29, 2022. Fairgoers will be able to enjoy new and old attractions, food vendors, rides and live entertainment, as Clark County’s 4-H and FFA members compete with their animals. Gates open each day at 8 a.m. after the first day.

General admission is $6, which includes parking and admission into all concerts. Admission is free for children 5 and under.

Wallace & Turner is once again sponsoring the 2022 United Way Annual Golf Scramble being held Friday, September 9, 2022 at Windy Knoll Golf Club. The Scramble includes a shotgun tournament starting at 11 am, followed by awards at 4 pm.

Eighth Annual Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition

Up to 30 food trucks full of unique palate-pleasing cuisine will once again roll into Veteran’s Park, along with live entertainment, a beer garden and more on August  20, 2022, in Springfield for the Springfield Rotary Club’s Eighth Gourmet Food Truck Competition. Wallace & Turner is proud to serve as a Food Truck Sponsor.

Delicious food will include gourmet hot dogs and sandwiches, Pierogies, Empanadas, Cuban, BBQ, Mexican/TexMex, Italian, Carolina Coastal, American, Seafood, Jewish, Farm Raised, Asian, Latin, Mediterranean, and sweets.

Live entertainment will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Beer Garden will be serving domestics and local craft brews from Springfield’s own Mother Stewart’s Brewing Company, and for those who don’t fancy alcohol, soda and water is available. In addition to Mother Stewart’s selection of craft beer, alcohol options this year include Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, Budweiser and White Claw.

Attracting over 10,000 guests each year, the competition continues to grow and thrive as Springfield’s must-taste event of the summer. While the competition is a great community event, it’s also a major fundraiser that supports the Rotary Club’s charitable programs. Over the first five years of the competition alone, over $100,000 was raised for Springfield Rotary’s causes from the support of the community. This includes services to people with disabilities, which has increased the number of individuals served by more than 70 percent since the inaugural competition in 2014.

Wallace & Turner kicked off Food Truck Thursday 2022 with Real Estate II on April 7th! EAT Food Truck provided tasty meals and we collected donations for Keep Clark County Beautiful. Keep Clark County Beautiful’s national affiliation helps to highlight the value of community beautification and putting waste in its proper place and offers proven models and tools that enhance our ability to make a difference here in Clark County. Coordinated by the Clark County Solid Waste District, KCCB is of more than one thousand communities participating in the Keep America Beautiful network.

Champaign County Scholars 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser

The Clark State Foundation has partnered with the Urbana and Graham school districts to support students who will become the first in their families to earn a college degree. The Scholars program provides support throughout high school to prepare these students for college success. Upon graduation from high school, the students will be eligible for three years of college at Clark State at no cost to the students.

We hope you will help support the Champaign County Scholars program by participating in the April 30th 5K Walk/Run. Wallace & Turner is a proud sponsor of the event. Participants will receive an event t-shirt and trophies will be awarded for first place male, female and fundraiser. All proceeds from this event will support Champaign County scholarships.

Wallace & Turner had a wonderful time at the Ridgewood School 2022 Hearts & Hands dinner and live auction on March 19th. We were proud to be a sponsor of the event which supports fundraising to make it possible for area children who have great financial need to attend Ridgewood's PreK-8th grade, college preparatory school. Producer Myles Trempe is serving as co-chair of the Slice of Springfield event featuring eight non-franchise restaurants that will put out their tastiest pizza to sample, 4:30-7 p.m. on February 10 at Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co., 102 W. Columbia St.

Participating restaurants include Bogey’s at Rocky Lakes; Buckeye Barn; Crust & Company; Fent’s Dairy Corner; Fratelli’s; The Hickory Inn; Mikey’s Pizza; and Station 1.

“There’s a real interest because as a community, we have good, local non-franchise pizzerias,” Myles told Dayton.com in an interview. “In the dead of winter, this is a place you can come and enjoy a lot of different pizza and have a good craft beer or other drink.”

Tickets cost $25 each and include at least eight squares of pizza and a drink, a choice of soft drink, beer or wine. Tickets for ages 12-under cost $10 each and will be available at the door. Attendees will also enjoy live entertainment. 

Wallace & Turner is a Premier Sponsor of Slice of Springfield. Proceeds from the event will go to National Trail Parks and Recreation District and Partners for the Parks efforts. The sprayground in Snyder Park was established with Slice funds, and Myles said funds from this outing will help toward projects such as revitalizing the tennis and pickleball courts in Snyder Park in the future.

Champaign County Chamber of Commerce 2021 Annual Dinner – Wallace & Turner Serves as Sponsor

As a member of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, Wallace & Turner is serving as a sponsor of the 2021 Annual Dinner being held Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Champaign Aviation Museum. The evening will feature a social networking hour from 4:30 – 6 pm and dinner & entertainment beginning at 6 pm. 

The Champaign Aviation Museum is a 501 c (3) non-profit dedicated to preserving aviation history for current and future generations in Urbana, Ohio. The museum and its volunteers are currently restoring a B-17 Flying Fortress back to flying status. The museum has several aircraft including, a B-25, B-17, C-47, A-26 and a Fairchild F-24.

7th Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition - Wallace & Turner Serves as Sponsor to Support Children/Adults with Disabilities

The Springfield Rotary Club hosted its Seventh Gourmet Food Truck Competition on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Veterans Park. There was a large crowd all day, food trucks served amazing food and this year, the Rotary Club added an eleven by seventeen-foot Jumbotron to view the Ohio State game.

Wallace & Turner served as an event sponsor to support children and adults with disabilities getting needed social, emotional and/or financial assistance as well as insuring that an impoverished child in Africa gets a meal once a day and is able to drink safe, clean water. The proceeds from the event benefit the Rotary Club’s college scholarships, services to people with disabilities program, international project in Lesotho, Africa, high school and college youth rotary clubs, dream soccer tournament for disabled children, grants to teachers of multi-handicapped classes and other charitable projects in the community.

Health Insurance Doesn’t Have to be Scary! Stop by Our Booth at Ghost Walk On Main

As part of the Ghost Walk on Main, Health & Life Agent Colleen Corrigan will have a booth at this spooktacular haunted history walk through Uptown Centerville on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Stop by and say hello and ask your pressing health insurance questions.

Ghost Walk on Main tour groups will be led by a storyteller guide. Learn and be entertained by local history, hear spooky stories, and enjoy refreshments and drinks compliments of HOCWT businesses. This is a 1.8 mile walking tour so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Participants must be age 21 or older.

Proceeds from this event benefit Friends of Washington-Centerville Public Library, Centerville-Washington History, and a named charity by HOCWT. The ticket price is tax deductible.

Annual Harvest Breakfast 2021 – Wallace & Turner Sponsors Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign Clark & Logan Counties “Food is Health” Event

Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign Clark & Logan Counties is hosting its first annual Harvest Breakfast on September 3, 2021 with keynote speaker Feeding America CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot. She will discuss national food insecurity trends and how food banks have positive, long-lasting social impact on the communities they serve. This event will also highlight Second Harvest’s collaborations with local medical and health organizations to improve the health of food insecure individuals in Champaign, Clark, and Logan Counties. Wallace & Turner is serving as a sponsor. 

The Harvest Breakfast will be held at Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center with doors open at 8 am for networking and breakfast and the program from 8:30-10 am. For complimentary registration, click here.
